Drawing on three decades of experience as a chef and restaurateur, Mr. Lanni is recognized for his vision as the owner and executive chef of Lanni's Cucina Verace, a popular fine dining restaurant featuring traditional Italian dishes and an extensive wine list from all 20 regions of Italy. Working alongside Mr. Lanni in operating the beloved restaurant is his wife, Kimberly, a skilled mixologist and host who runs the front-of-house.

Born in Naples, Italy, Mr. Lanni began his culinary journey when he was just 5 years old. Growing up in an Italian household, he fondly recalls spending time in the kitchen with his mother, Carolina, who taught him to prepare traditional Italian cuisine. Deeply immersed in Italian culture, the family immigrated to the United States while Mr. Lanni was a child, but he continued to spend summers in his native country until he was 18 years old.

At the age of 22, Mr. Lanni was recruited to serve as executive chef at the Columbus Citizens Foundation, a private membership club for Italians in New York City. During his tenure there, he had the privilege of cooking for numerous high-profile guests, including then-Mayor Rudolph Guliani and actress Sophia Loren.

Lanni's Cucina Verace is the latest in a line of popular restaurants owned by Mr. Lanni throughout his career; his previous enterprises have included Lannis Fine Italian Restaurant, Ristorante Da Vittorio and San Gennaros. After years of successful restaurant ownership, during which he catered to an exclusive clientele, he entered the wine business, serving as food and wine guru for Lanni and Lanni, director of sales for Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, and on-premises manager for OPici Wines. During this time, his career enabled him to travel the world, visiting wineries in California, Argentina, Spain, France and Italy.

Mr. Lanni holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management from Ramapo State College. He and his wife are the parents of four children, two boys and two girls; the oldest, Vittorio, Jr., is a skilled chef who is poised to carry on Mr. Lanni's legacy.
