PORT CHESTER, NY, September 27, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jenna Margiasso has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An accomplished soprano and music teacher with seven years of varied expertise to her credit, Ms. Margiasso presently excels as an educator at George Washington Elementary School. In this capacity, she serves as the choral director and general music teacher, oversees logistics regarding concerts, assemblies, and other school events, and edits music videos for special school projects. Outside of her work with George Washington Elementary, Ms. Margiasso teaches voice through a private studio.

In conjunction with her educational endeavors, Ms. Margiasso has performed as a featured recitalist and soloist through such entities as the Rocky Ridge Orchestra, CU Pendulum Recital Series, the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia Malibran, and the soundSCAPE International Composer and Performance Exchange. Throughout her career, she has also played roles in "The Tender Land," "Silent Night," and L'Incoronazione di Poppea" at the Eklund Opera, and in varying performances at the Hillman Opera, the Student Opera Theater Association, and the Western NY Chamber Orchestra. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Margiasso also gained choral experience with the University of Colorado, Boulder, the Boulder Bach Festival Choir, and the Riverside Choral Society, as well as musical theater experience, with performances in notable plays, including "The Sound of Music" and "Urinetown: The Musical."

An expert in her field, Ms. Margiasso holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a concentration in General Music and Choral Studies, and another Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Subsequently, she expanded upon her professional knowledge, earning a Master of Music in vocal performance and pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Margiasso maintains alignment with the Long Island American Orff Schulwerk Association, the New York State School Music Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the National Association for Teachers of Singing.

In recognition of her achievements, Ms. Margiasso earned Phi Kappa Lambda Membership, recognition as a Fulbright Semi-Finalist, and a Scholastic Honor Award for having the highest GPA in her chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. She also received several scholarships through the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the State University of New York at Fredonia. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in the creation of her Master's thesis, where she did in-depth research on the history and the potential influences of the vocal technique used in "Pierrot Lunaire" by Arnold Schoenberg, and developed her own method for teaching the Sprechstimme based on known pedagogical techniques and this research. The development of her technique and research led to the pursual of a Fulbright grant. The cornerstone of her success lies in the support she has received throughout her journey. Looking ahead, Ms. Margiasso aims to completing two full certifications (Rhythm2Recovery® - the therapeutic drumming program for building community and Orff Schulwerk - an approach to teaching music through singing, saying, dancing, and playing).
