Shelby L. Amato Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

Shelby L. Amato serves as an expert in music education



    ALTAMONT, NY, October 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shelby L. Amato has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on over five years of expertise, Ms. Amato specializes in music education. Since 2021, she has been a general music/chorus teacher for the Troy City School District. In this capacity, she teaches general music to students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade, in addition to fifth grader chorus. Previously from 2019 to 2021 she was an instrumental/general music teacher for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District and from 2018 to 2021, she served as a substitute teacher for the Bedford Central and Katonah-Lewisboro School Districts. Adjacent to her primary vocation, she has been active as a tutor at The College of Saint Rose since 2015. Ms. Amato initially began her career as an intern at Capital Cinema Cultural Exchange Inc.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Amato pursued an education at The College of Saint Rose, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in music industry in 2017. She continued her academic efforts at Manhattanville College, earning a Master of Arts in music education in 2019. During the course of her master's program, Ms. Amato was involved in student-teaching at the institution, which illuminated her passion for classroom interactions with children, and transitioned her evolution from an aspiring performer to a dedicated music educator.

As a commitment to her field, Ms. Amato has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the New York State School Music Association and the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, she has been involved in the World Autism Awareness Month alongside her mother, and Atria Senior Living Inc. as an entertainer for the elderly.

Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Amato is most proud to be forming connections with her students as a full-time music teacher, which enables her to foster meaningful relationships, observe musical abilities and witness the growth potential of each individual pupil in her classroom. Reflecting on her achievements, she attributes much of her success to her parents, who encouraged her, and instilled in her the confidence to explore different avenues and pursue her vocational path. Looking toward the future, Ms. Amato aspires to expand the scope of her career by venturing to diverse school districts to teach middle or high school level of music and band.
