A dedicated educator with more than two decades of military service to his credit, Mr. Eckols has earned distinction as a teacher for Marvin Sedway Middle School with the Clark County School District. In this capacity, he focuses his efforts on teaching health to eighth-grade students, including providing instruction on topics on wellness, decision-making, body systems, CPR and first aid. Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Eckols was named Teacher of the Month.
Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Eckols served honorably in the United States Army from 1982 until 2003. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was honored with three Meritorious Service Awards, two Army Commendation Medals and an Army Achievement Medal. He also received an Overseas Service Ribbon and a National Defense Service Medal. He also presently volunteers with the Veterans Administration.
Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Eckols earned a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Business Administration as well as a master's degree in education. He is also a valued member of the Clark County Education Association. Looking to the future, Mr. Eckols intends to retire from teaching to enjoy more time for traveling.
