Before establishing Blackwater Tiger Consulting, he served as the vice president of operational excellence at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona in Phoenix from 2004 to 2021.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sowell was proud of his involvement in simplifying and streamlining operations and making the health care process more affordable for many organizations. He envisions future success by impacting the financial scope of the health care industry on a broader scale.
As a dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Sowell has contributed to the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS and several local charities as a parishioner of CrossWalk Church in Phoenix.
Mr. Sowell graduated with an associate degree from Montogomery County Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in business management and a Master of Art in organizational management, business administration, and management from the University of Phoenix. He also received credentials as an advanced FAST facilitator and certified Six Sigma and Six Sigma black belt.
To remain well-informed in his industry, Mr. Sowell is a member of the American Society for Quality. Noted for his accomplishments, he has received numerous accolades, including a Quality Award from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.
