In 2020 he developed the first COVID-19 small business loan program in the country called the Business Continuity Loan Fund for Invest Atlanta and the City of Atlanta before the Cares Act was approved by Congress. During the early stages of his career Mr. Saboor gained valuable expertise in the field as the Southern Regional Business Manager of the Nation of Islam, District Representative over eight Stop & Go convenient stores, and as admissions counselor at Ottawa University. Dedicated to his country, he also served in the U.S. Army.
Outside of his work, Mr. Saboor aligns himself with Toastmasters International through which he won the state championship of Georgia and competed in the semi-finals for the title of World Champion of Public Speaking. Over 50,000 people from 149 countries compete to be the World Champion of Public Speaking every year. An expert in his field, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ottawa University and an MBA in Finance and Management from Clark Atlanta University. Due to his vast breath of knowledge, he authored "Getting Paid: Common Sense Business Tactics" and "Getting Paid: Revisited" an e-book that is being converted into a paper-book. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Saboor takes the most pride in having created over twenty different no-interest and low-interest loan programs for small businesses, female-owned businesses, minority businesses, start-up businesses and commercial property owners in underserved communities.
Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Saboor credits Allah (God), a wonderful relationship with his family and friends, and an innate ability to work well with small businesses. Looking toward the future, Mr. Saboor intends to conduct more speaking engagements and continue to help other organizations in and outside of Atlanta through his new company Global Expansion Team Inc.
