Prior to her current role, Ms. Michailov began her career as an immigration associate with Baker and McKenzie LLP in 2006, providing legal services to international corporate clients. She subsequently was a partner for the Shulman Rogers immigration practice from 2017 until 2020, providing legal guidance on employment-based immigration law and compliance with I-9, Department of Labor and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services audits. She also served as a pro bono attorney for Kids in Need of Defense from 2013 until 2016.
To prepare for her law career, Ms. Michailov earned a Juris Doctor in international labor law from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland in 1999. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Arts in international commerce and policy in 2005 from the George Mason University School of Public Policy. She subsequently gained a Master of Laws in international legal studies from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2009 and underwent a legal internship the same year with the World Bank Group's Investment Project Financing. Well-qualified in her field, she was admitted to the New York State Bar Association and is a valued member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Within the coming years, Ms. Michailov intends to continue growing her practice.
