In addition to his primary career goals at Apple, Dr. Rammandala has been a senior lecturer for the ICBT's Kandy campus since 2011, teaching various Master of Science and Master of Business Administration sustainability courses at Cardiff Metropolitan University and Middlesex University. He also began lecturing at NEXT Campus in Sri Lanka in 2021. Previously, Dr. Rammandala taught classes at the Colombo School of Business and Management and conduct training sessions at Maldives National University, school of business.
Dr. Rammandala garnered previous success with several other notable organizations in sustainability, supply chain, merchandising, and manufacturing. Before joining Apple, he worked at Tesla Inc as a manufacturing specialist and headed supply chain operations for Sunrise Group USA LLC. He also worked for VOmax LLC as the vice president of global sourcing and manufacturing. Among other noteworthy roles, Dr. Rammandala founded Intelligent Strategy USA and SustainableLabourCosting.org.
Passionate about giving back to the less fortunate, Dr. Rammandala has been a foster parent and child sponsor for children in Mali, West Africa. He has also supported Save the Children and participated in organizations supporting cancer research.
Highly educated, Dr. Rammandala completed a course in diplomacy and international relations at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute in 2003 before acquiring a Diploma in shipping, logistics, and international trade from the Institute of Commercial Studies in 2004. Continuing his education, he garnered a bachelor's degree in management from Middlesex University in London in 2001, a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2007, a postgraduate diploma in business administration from the London School of Commerce in London in 2006, and a Doctor of Business Administration in global business and leadership, with high honors, from the California Intercontinental University in 2018. Additionally, Dr. Rammandala secured several certifications in his industry, including in sustainable business strategy from Harvard Business School and smart manufacturing from Ohlone College, Freemont, California.
As part of Dr. Rammandala's continued commitments in the industry, he is a professional member of the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka.
