Shortly thereafter, Ms. Hernandez began training in real estate. However, after having children, she turned to the restaurant, following a long line of family members who worked in the industry. Additionally, Ms. Hernandez maintained a successful tax business for over 25 years.

Ms. Hernandez is an alumnus of the University of Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting and international business and marketing. She also received a master's degree.
