Ms. Ripo consistently demonstrates skills that define what it means to be a successful leader. Her position requires her to thoroughly understand department policies and procedures while adhering to all debt collection practices. As Senior Representative, she is the first point of contact for her coworkers, allowing her to provide valuable feedback and coaching to help guide them toward success. Ms. Ripo possesses the ability to handle many loan types, most commonly managing real estate, personal, and auto loans. Her responsibilities include contacting borrowers to collect past-due payments, referring qualified borrowers for assistance, and monitoring multiple work-lists. Her aptitude to effectively navigate and manage complex discussions allows her to consistently avoid foreclosure, repossession, and charge-off escalation.
Before joining Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Ms. Ripo worked at Hudson Valley Credit Union. During her tenure, she was promoted several times and quickly excelled from Teller to Contact Center Specialist, then ultimately started her profession in the collections field as a Collector. Earlier in her career, she held various roles in support and operations at Verizon Wireless. Before Verizon Wireless, she was the youngest Certified Store Manager at her local Edible Arrangements franchise.
Ms. Ripo has garnered several awards during her professional career. The accolade that has brought her the most pride is her 2022 Chairman's Award at Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, the highest honor awarded at the Credit Union. In her nomination, Ms. Ripo's manager highlights her active listening skills, work ethic, enthusiasm, leadership ability, and overall pride in her position. Her determination to find the best solution and willingness to expand her knowledge have led her to achieve record-breaking results. Additionally, she has received the Certification of Appreciation at Hudson Valley Credit Union, Employee of the Month, and the Customer Excellence Award while employed with Verizon Wireless.
When she is not at work, Ms. Ripo spends time with her husband, Matt, and two dogs, Grizzly and Bailee. She loves to travel to Disney World and enjoys spending time with family.
Looking to the future, she plans to continue her career at the Credit Union and expand her leadership, eventually moving into management. Her life motto is "Never say you can't do it" which she applies to all aspects of her life.
