Since 2000, he has focused his efforts on consulting in the offshore market for different oil and gas operators. Additionally, he is a valued member of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, the American Association of Drilling Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kenda worked as a directional driller, drilling and completion foreman, superintendent and manager until taking a role as a senior drilling and completions engineering manager for Santa Fe Energy in 1997. Over the course of his career, he has also published papers featured by the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the International Association of Drilling Contractors.
To prepare for his career, he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1982. He is proud to have become an independent business owner, allowing him to work on outstanding projects in the offshore petroleum industry. He was involved in the development of dry tree riser systems for floating production facilities and in numerous subsea deep-water drilling and completion projects worldwide. Notably, he was instrumental in the development of the Holstein Spar and Holstein Deep developments.
