Mr. Hernandez de Tejada initially began his career working as a communications and sales support specialist at his father's company, Inter-Bentley, Inc., in Mexico City from 2006 until 2010. Between 2010 and 2013, he was involved in marketing communications at Getronics KPN. Once he moved to Houston in 2014, his job for the next three years was as a business development representative for Precision Task Group, where his employer - and one of the most influential Hispanics the United States - Massey Villareal took him under his wing and helped him get his footing around the city; this role opened the doors to him doing business in Houston. He was later the founder of RequestICT and his digital transformation company, QTHC Global.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Hernandez de Tejada pursued an education at Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico, where he obtained a B.A. in communications and media studies in 2009. He continued his academic efforts years later at Texas Tech University, earning a graduate certificate in advanced digital and social media communications in 2020. As a commitment to his field, he has obtained many sales-related IT certifications throughout the years. Additionally, he has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the National Computing Technology Industry Association. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Hernandez de Tejada has contributed his time and expertise to the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the Houston Young Professionals Endeavor, and the Houston Young Republicans, among others.
