Prior to joining the Smith & Associates Real estate team in 2012, Ms. Lanners worked as a Broker Associate with Century 21 Jim White & Associates and Palermo Real Estate Professionals. Earlier in her career, she served as health and safety manager for Waste Management and worked for the state of Michigan, where she conducted comprehensive regulatory reviews of transportation companies.
Born in the suburbs of Chicago, Ms. Lanners earned a diploma from St. Edwards High School and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She went on to obtain a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University. This background honed her skills in conducting detailed analysis, a skill that significantly benefits her current work, as well-crafted contracts are crucial to the success of all her clients.
Of Ms. Lanners's numerous achievements, she fondly recalls the honor of serving as a delegate from the state of Michigan to the 2001 National Presidential Convention. This opportunity granted her the privilege of attending events both in Philadelphia and the presidential inauguration that year, an experience she will never forget.
Outside of work, Ms. Lanners enjoys teaching spinning classes and otherwise being active by boating, outdoor cycling and downhill skiing. An animal lover, she contributes the proceeds from her spinning classes to support animal shelters in Pinellas County.
