Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in innovation and creative problem-solving, Dr. Harb has earned distinction as an Associate of Applied Science business faulty member for Black Hawk College. Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on teaching seven courses in operational management, supply chain management, strategic planning and analysis, training and development and organizational leadership, among other areas. Bilingual in English and Arabic, she emphasizes collaboration, leading with integrity and embracing diversity. Additionally, she is a valued member of the Higher Teaching Commission and is a union member of the State of Illinois for Teachers.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Harb began her career as an adjunct faculty member for the business department at Clinton Community College in 1995 and was the general business development manager for the Harb Heart Center in 1996. Following this time, she worked as a faculty member for the Birzeit University School of Commerce and Economics in 1998 until becoming the executive metropolitan director of the American Heart Association, Inc. in 2002. In 2009, she served as a curriculum development consultant for the Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Dr. Harb continued her career as an assistant professor for Augustana College in 2010. During this period, she also was an assistant professor for St. Ambrose University from 2006 until 2015 and a senior manager for global quality training and curriculum development for Collins Aerospace from 2013 until 2018. In 2019, she served as a supply chain manager for master planning with the HNI Corp. and took a role as an on-site lean manager for Uber Freight's Transplace in 2021.
To prepare for her professional journey, Dr. Harb earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mount St. Clare College (now the University of Arizona Global Campus) in 1990. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Business Administration in 1995 and a Doctor of Business Administration in 2011, both from St. Ambrose University.
Looking to the future, Dr. Harb intends to be a published author and a full professor, as she has recently signed a contract with a publishing company to publish a textbook for introduction to business classes. She is also working on writing a speculative fiction novel.
