Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, Ms. Carpenter is recognized for excellence as the chief financial officer of Annex Brands, Inc., a leader in the business services and shipping segment of the franchising industry. Her leadership with the company has earned her accolades within the San Diego business community, including a spot on the coveted Top 50 Women in San Diego list published by Business Journal.
A certified public accountant and franchising executive, Ms. Carpenter first joined Annex Brands, Inc. as director of accounting in 2012; since that time, she has climbed the ranks within the company, holding positions as controller, executive director of finance and vice president of finance before stepping into her current role in 2022. Earlier in her career, she worked as the controller with Douglas Wilson Companies, John Lenore and as an area manager at multiple Arby's locations.
Ms. Carpenter holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in accounting, both from the University of Phoenix. As a commitment to her field, she is active with the International Franchise Association.
Outside of work, Ms. Carpenter enjoys camping and swimming with her family, especially her three children and five grandchildren, as well as being active with the American Legion. In the coming years, she looks forward to spending more of her time mentoring early-career women, especially teenage parents.
