After graduating from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, Mr. Thoensen went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated with a Juris Doctor. In 2007, he joined Richardson Plowden & Robinson, PA, as an attorney, where he gained experience and focused on general litigation and products and premises liability defenses for 15 years. Following nearly two decades there, he moved to Poulin | Willey | Anastopoulo LLC as an attorney at law, where he devoted his time and practice to personal injury law.
Currently, Mr. Thoensen practices law at Crowe LaFave LLC. Since joining the firm in 2023, he has taken on caseloads involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, breach of contract, product liability, and insurance coverage, representing defendants in civil litigations, including individuals and their insurance carriers. In all he has accomplished as a lawyer thus far, Mr. Thoensen, a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Richland County Bar Association, attributes his success to having a good work ethic, inspirational mentors, supportive friends and family, and acquiring the intelligence to navigate his studies and profession.
