Marquis Who's Who Selects Scott Stripling, PhD, for Excellence in Ancient Near Eastern Archeology and Biblical Studies

    RICHMOND, TX, January 05, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Scott Stripling, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Stripling has led a distinguished career in education and archaeology, having joined the faculty at The Bible Seminary in 2017 as provost and professor of biblical archaeology and church history. As part of his administrative responsibilities, he oversees the academic program, which includes curriculum, faculty, and students. As an educator, Dr. Stripling trains students in both Bible and archeology.

During his tenure as provost, The Bible Seminary achieved accreditation. Grateful to several significant mentors throughout his career for recognizing his potential and investing time and resources in him, he is eager for his future on campus. Among various goals, Dr. Stripling aspires to develop several doctoral programs.

In addition to his academic commitments at The Bible Seminary, Dr. Stripling has served as the humanities and foreign language department head at Wharton County Junior College. He has also been the director of excavations for the Associates for Biblical Research since 2013. Overseeing a significant archaeological project in Israel, Ancient Shiloh, many of his students have accompanied him overseas to manage the project. A leader in archaeology, Dr. Stripling has been credited for building the most extensive excavation in the Middle East.

Dr. Stripling has an extensive educational background, earning an undergraduate degree and a Master of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1984 and 1988, respectively. He also acquired a master's degree in biblical literature from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 1995 and a Doctor of Philosophy in archeology and biblical history, summa cum laude, from Veritas International University in 2020.

As part of his continued commitments to his professional career, Dr. Stripling is active as a member of the American Society of Overseas Research and as the president of the Near East Archaeological Society.
