A certified professional engineer, Dr. Feiz gained valuable expertise in the field as an aerospace engineer with Northrop Grumman Corporation and a lead engineer with GE Aviation. Likewise, he became licensed in mechanical engineering through the South Carolina Department of Labor and was a senior engineer for GE Power and Water. Drawing on years of professional experience, Dr. Feiz excels with GE Power as a technical leader specializing in combustion engineering.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Feiz aligns himself with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers, and the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission. Alongside his work, Dr. Feiz is a licensed coach for soccer teams through the United States Soccer Coaching Academy, participates in monthly projects as a volunteer for Rebuild Upstate, and serves as a leader with Hands On Greenville.
In light of his professional achievements, Dr. Feiz has been recognized many times, earning over 55 internal awards from General Electric and the Gas Turbine Fellowship Award (UTSR) from the National Energy Laboratory. Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Dr. Feiz has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including "Computational Fluid Dynamics Applications to Launch Vehicles with Reverse Flow Plumes" and "Micro Blowing Simulations Using a Coupled Finite-Volume Lattice Boltzmann LES Approach", which received positive feedback upon submission to NASA.
