She offers training to prospective image consultants, providing guidance on makeup, wardrobe and colors that convey a successful style and project an image of success, and is one of the few organizations worldwide accredited by the Association of Image Consultants International to offer continuing education units in the field.
Ms. Youakim authored "Beyond Beauty: A Refugee's Journey in Pursuit of Happiness" in 2016 based on her experiences as a United Nations refugee and how she was able to overcome a lack of education, poor self-esteem and a fear of public speaking as a result of these traumatic times. She also founded Mums on a Mission in 2000, an organization that aims to empower men and women facing challenges in their lives.
While developing her professional journey, Ms. Youakim earned a master's degree in image consulting from the Association of Image Consultants International. She has worked internationally as a fashion consultant, image consultant and makeup adviser, among other roles. She is also a certified image master who has appeared numerous times on television programs and in speaking engagements.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Youakim was honored as a National Gold Volunteer by the National Health and Medical Research Center and was a nominee for Australian of the Year by the Australia Day Council. She was then named Citizen of the Year by the Australia Day Council in 2016. Overall, she is most proud to have developed her own color system and to have changed many individuals' lives utilizing it.
