With more than two decades of excellence in temporary pumping systems for civil engineering applications, Mr. Morris has earned distinction as a services district manager for Xylem Dewatering Solutions, Inc. dba Godwin Pumps of America, Inc. Since 2023, he has focused his efforts on serving as the sales and technical lead for the Northeast, which consists of approximately $75 million a year in revenue and nine branch locations. Additionally, he has served as a principal for 3M Solutions since 2014.
Prior to his present role, Capt. Morris served honorably as a civil engineer with the United States Air Force from 2001 until 2005. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was named Military Manager of the Year in 2003 and Engineer of the Year by the National Society of Professional Engineers the same year.
Following his military service, Mr. Morris worked as a senior project manager for Tetra Tech in 2006 and became an area manager for Peterson Geotechnical Construction in 2010. Following this time, he served as an outside sales engineer for Godwin Pumps, a Xylem Brand, from 2012 until taking a role as the Northeast regional sales manager for Xylem Dewatering Solutions, Inc. dba Godwin Pumps of America, Inc. in 2023.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Morris earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in civil engineering from Clarkson University in 2000. Well-qualified in his field, he is a professional engineer with twelve states, including New York State, Texas, the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers, Inc. and the Tennessee State Board of Architects and Engineers, among others. He is also a valued member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Associated General Contractors of America. Looking to the future, Mr. Morris intends to focus on continuing to excel in his job and grow his current business, centering his practice on a core group of three or four focused clients.
