Over the course of his career, Mr. Hull has differentiated himself through his remarkable accomplishments in the realm of creative and distinctive transactions and has established a reputation for himself tied to his unconventional approach and intricate structuring. In all he has achieved professionally, he credits his extensive educational background, which he acquired prior to entering the workforce. Mr. Hull holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance from Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctor in securities law from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he served as the article's editor for the Tulsa Law Review while pursuing his degree. To remain aware of developments in the legal field, he is currently a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. For his work in the financial sector, Mr. Hull was a license general and municipal securities principal, broker and dealer for over 35 years via the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board.
Given his background in finance and law, Mr. Hull began his career merging the two, working as the assistant attorney general and municipal bond attorney for the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma. Following two years there, he progressed to several regional investment banking firms, including Rotan Mosle, now a part of UBS Financial Services. For the next 20 years, Mr. Hull applied his managerial experience working at JPMorgan Chase & Co.; Comerica Securities, Commerce Street Capital LLC, for SAMCO Capital Markets, and Structured Capital LLC, where he has continued to operate as managing director for over three decades and counting. He has also a shareholder and worked at PurchasePooling and PureMarkets, two online finance portal companies that he co-founded.
During his final year at Commerce Street Capital, Mr. Hull simultaneously devoted his efforts to co-founding, owning, and functioning as a member of the initial board of directors for the Independent Bankers Capital Fund, the first Small Business Investment Corporation formed in the United States, approved by the Small Business Administration with more than 50 smaller independent and regional commercial banks as investors.
