Dr. Wu is an experienced researcher and a semiconductor device research and development engineer at Keysight Technologies, an electronics manufacturing company in Santa Rosa, California which provides solutions to accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world.
As a semiconductor device R&D engineer and physicist, he focuses on ultra-high frequency III-V compound semiconductor integrated circuit technologies. He has expertise in epitaxy and material science and is responsible for leading the research and development of ultrahigh-performance electronic and optoelectronic devices. Dr. Wu is notably credited with developing three generations of Indium Phosphide (InP) heterojunction transistor technology and ultrahigh-bandwidth photodiodes.
Besides his primary goals, he collaborates on various initiatives with professors from such institutions as Stanford University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Eager for the future of his career, Dr. Wu aims to further advance device technology using InP and related semiconductors for wireless communications, which can be made to be both fast and durable. He is also considering teaching part-time at the academic level.
Before joining Keysight Technologies, Dr. Wu was a molecular beam epitaxy/new technology introduction engineer at Agilent Technologies from 2006 to 2014, during which time he introduced measures to prevent industrial accidents from occurring after one occurred in 2011. He also worked in research while in college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Chunghwa Telecom. Co. Ltd., and National Taiwan University, beginning in 1998.
Dr. Wu serves on the executive committee for the Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Conference, which takes place annually. He is also active locally with the Santa Rosa Symphony and the Asian American Pacific Islander Coalition in North Bay. Dr. Wu is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In light of his professional accomplishments, he has been awarded several internal and external accolades.
Dr. Wu holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University in 1998, a Master of Science in optoelectronic engineering from National Taiwan University in 2000, and a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006.
