LAMBERTVILLE, MI, January 30, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elliot G. Eisenberg has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Eisenberg is the operator, with a partner, of Appellate Advance Associates, which provides funding to lawyers and litigants in various types of lawsuits. Recently, he helped a one-man firm get past the cash drought caused by the pandemic. He has also provided funds to lawyers involved in California forest fires, Flint water cases and other mass torts.

However, he is primarily known for his work in saving troubled companies. Several years ago, he joined in lending funds to Althera Medical, an Israeli firm that made a radium-infused pin that emits cancer-killing alpha particles.

When the expected public offering failed, Mr. Eisenberg conducted a months-long campaign to raise the needed funds. He traveled to Israel to testify on the company's behalf, and helped to broker a settlement of its outstanding litigation.

Subsequent to the settlement, Althera was acquired by Alpha Tau Medical (DRTS-NASDAQ) and is authorized to sell the device in Israel, with applications well along in the US and other countries.

Several years prior, he participated in a loan to Versus Technology Corp, a producer of infrared tracking systems. Bringing in the Merrill Lynch Special Value Fund as a lead investor, he helped put that company on a solid footing, leading to its sale to a larger firm.

Briefly, Mr. Eisenberg operated a fireworks store at Exit 11 on Route 75 in Monroe, MI, leading him to extend funding to a larger fireworks retailer.

Mr. Eisenberg is a 1965 graduate of James H. Bowen High School on Chicago's South Side; a 1969 graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, where he was sophomore class president, and holder of a 1972 master's degree in economics from UMass Amherst. In high school and college, he worked at his father's used car lot, at clothier Maurice L. Rothschild, at ad agency Foote Cone & Belding, and at manufacturer Bell & Howell.

For the first ten years after college and graduate school, he worked in journalism and market research. A series on nuclear power which he co-wrote for The Springfield (MA) Republican was honored by UPI's New England Editors.

Following his journalism career, Mr. Eisenberg spent many years in retail and institutional brokerage business. For several years, he was a partner in BDS Securities, which dealt in bankruptcy, distress and special situations.

For several years he was a blogger for The American Thinker and The Times of Israel.

He is a member of B'nai Israel Congregation in Sylvania, OH, and supports a number of religious and civic organizations.
