Dr. Hillenbrand maintains affiliation with several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association and the Illinois Psychiatric Society. He has received teaching awards from Loyola University, Rosalind Franklin University, and the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Hillenbrand attributes his professional accomplishments to his German-Irish heritage, his father's success as a psychiatrist, his mother's contributions as a nurse at his father's office, and to the many patients he feels fortunate to have treated.
