She later became a project manager for Suffolk University's Government Department from 2020 to 2021.
Ms. DeMatteo has received several professional accolades, including a student academic achievement award from the Department of Government Affairs and Legal Studies at Suffolk University. She was also presented with the Philosophy Department Book Award in 2017 and received a scholar award from the Washington Center in Suffolk University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Suffolk University, which she obtained in 2018.
