Since 2021, he has focused his efforts on scaling up manufacturing endeavors, working on a first of its kind manufacturing facility startup. He is especially proud to have launched their first factory for a project that had never been attempted before.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Clark began his career as a peer advisor and mathematics tutor while attending Emory and Henry College in 2005. He also underwent a building and grounds summer internship with Babcock and Wilcox from 2005 through 2009. Following this time, he served as a graduate student researcher for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2010 until becoming a process engineer II with Halio, Inc. in 2014. He was promoted to a senior process engineer in 2018 and to a senior process engineer II in 2020.
To prepare for his professional journey, Dr. Clark earned a Bachelor of Science in physics, mathematics and chemistry from Emory and Henry College in 2009. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Science in materials science and engineering in 2012 and a Doctor of Philosophy in the same field in 2014, both from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Clark's graduate research focused on ion conducting polymers for liquid organic fuel cells.
Looking to the future, Dr. Clark intends to determine ways to leverage his experience to mentor new young professionals. His goal is to impart his knowledge to others and help them succeed in their careers. Additionally, he is preparing to publish a book with his own mentor about how they look at data and charts in the media as consumers.
