She is also preparing to re-launch her teleconference series, "Heels of Success," into a podcast.
Ms. Harris has spent the past 30 years in progressive roles, beginning with the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of the Inspector General, in the financial audit division working in accounting and auditing from 1994 to 1997. She subsequently spent the next decade working in various roles for prominent financial companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Edward Jones Investments, and BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting). Among other noteworthy organizations, Ms. Harris specialized in investment sales and portfolio management as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch from 2006 to 2008 and at PNC Investments between 2008 and 2009 before launching Harris & Harris Wealth Management Group LLC.
Active in community affairs, Ms. Harris has served as a board member for Adventure Theatre MTC and as a Capital Caring investment committee member. She has also been active with Leadership Prince George's, the CNBC Financial Advisor Council, and the Junior League of Annapolis. Moreover, Ms. Harris has been a part of Bloomberg's New Voices, through which she has assisted numerous journalists and has been influential in bringing more diverse voices to its content.
Ms. Harris graduated Cum Laude from Saint Paul's College with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a concentration in accounting in 1993. She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society and Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities. Well-qualified in her field, she received credentials as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
