David Nolley, PhD Lauded for Excellence in Psychology

David Nolley channels years of expertise into his work in private practice



Dr. Nolley earned a master's degree in cognitive and behavioral psychology from Western Michigan University after completing his undergraduate studies at San Francisco State College.

Similarly, Dr. Nolley provides his expertise in a forensic capacity with adolescent and adult sex offenders.

During the early stages of his career, Dr. Nolley gained valuable expertise in the field as a consultant in private practice. Additionally, he has shared his considerable expertise with others in an emeritus role with San Francisco State University and as a faculty member at the University of Michigan. In the educational sphere, he wrote C++ and taught basic computing machine data communications, introduction to behavior analysis, behavior modification, and various other undergraduate and graduate courses. Throughout his career, Dr. Nolley has also conducted a significant amount of research regarding the electrophoretic application of GABA and glycine upon neurons of animal red nucleus and central nervous system effects of d-amphetamine and ethanol drinking elicited by lateral hypo-thalamic electrical and chemical stimulation in animals.

Along with other scholars in the industry, Dr. Nolley has written a plethora of articles, including "Aversive conditioning within the framework of state and federal law in a state mental retardation facility" and "Sex offense treatment successes in men with mental retardation." Likewise, Dr. Nolley has leveraged his considerable knowledge as an expert at meetings of the Association for Behavior Analysis, and the California Association for Behavior Analysis.

An expert in his field, Dr. Nolley earned a master's degree in cognitive and behavioral psychology from Western Michigan University after completing his undergraduate studies at San Francisco State College. Subsequently, he received a PhD in neuropsychology from Syracuse University and became a CEP provider through the California Mandatory Continuing Education, as well as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Nolley aligns himself with the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry, the American Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, the American Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology, and the American Board of Professional Psychology.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Nolley takes the most pride in treating sex offenders with brain injuries who are presented to him for rehabilitation. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to growing up on a farm with his parents and grandparents.
