ALBUQUERQUE, NM, February 09, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne C. Bateman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With more than three decades of excellence in orchestra leadership and education, Ms. Bateman has earned distinction as an orchestra teacher with Jimmy Carter Middle School. In this capacity, she focused her efforts on teaching violin, viola, cello and bass to sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. During her tenure, she promoted a more supportive atmosphere for music, building a community of appreciation for the arts while engaging children with more modern music.
Before her most recent role, Ms. Bateman taught orchestra with APS at Kennedy, Grant and Ernie Pyle Middle Schools. Before teaching in Albuquerque, Ms. Bateman began her teaching career in Los Alamos and Farmington Public Schools. To prepare for her career working with people in the arts, she earned a Bachelor Degree Music Education at Eastern New Mexico University in 1983 and much later earned a Masters Degree in Music Education at University of New Mexico in 2018. She is also a valued member of the New Mexico Music Educators Association.
Looking to the future, Ms. Bateman hopes to take her expertise to build a symphony program for a community in Mexico while continuing her commitment to the local Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program. As part of this, she plans to work with elementary schools as well as continued work with lower-income individuals who would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn music.
