As a former Co-Host of EVTV (Electric Vehicle Television), he reported on industry news related to the production/sales of electric cars primarily focused on Tesla. Richard also managed the Electric Vehicle Conversion Convention in which electric car builders tested and shared knowledge on the conversion of traditional internal combustion cars to electric drive. EVTV researched and operated an off-grid micro-power system, in which Richard Flentge tested various configurations of solar components. Richard wrote a patent application for the electrical connecting devices for the repurposing of a salvaged electric vehicle battery.
