Beginning her career as a teenager selling Mary Kay Cosmetics and shoes at a local mall, sales came naturally. Entering her 20's, Mrs. Taylor pursued secondary work as a grade school yearbook designer. Having cultivated a close working relationship with the school principal, Mrs. Coil, Jena was asked for a résumé to present to her husband's business. She was subsequently acquired by American Resin Inc. as a sales representative in 1991, jumpstarting her professional journey in the polymers industry. Mrs. Taylor went on to secure additional roles at American Polymers and F&D Plastics, where she distinguished herself as a senior account manager and color designer between 2000 and 2019.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Mrs. Taylor has found personal satisfaction as the owner of Mermaid Bay LLC performing various jobs, including commercial acting, and other small jobs that spark joy. A serial entrepreneur, Mrs. Taylor has opened Eco Eclectic Spaces LLC., an innovative venture that specializes in repurposing architectural salvage in eco-friendly designs, creating stunning and sustainable spaces for new home construction and remodeling projects. In addition to design services, the business enhances the customer experience by featuring Eclectic Enchantments, a charming vintage shop that allows clients to explore and purchase unique and timeless pieces that foster a sense of individuality and nostalgia in their homes.
Likewise, she is a promoter for Cleveland Tofu, a local brand of plant-based, non-GMO products she and her husband are passionate about. Adjacent to her vocational circles, Mrs. Taylor has also availed herself as an event organizer at Willowdale Lake, a country club in North Canton. She and her husband, Matthew, enjoy the role of Mr. and Mrs. Cowboy Clause, The Mermaid and innovator of Rock The Docks. Her favorite job titles include Mom, Wife and Grandma.
Looking ahead, Mrs. Taylor hopes to retire and spend more of her time with family. She plans to volunteer alongside her husband as they travel. Furthermore, she aspires to become more involved locally in a nonprofit that helps children within the foster care system and women who have survived domestic abuse.
