Driven by a passion for sports and a lifelong dream of competing in the Olympics, Mr. Walker excelled in basketball and more specifically the polevault at a young age. Becoming a medalist at the All England Athletics Championships prior to turning 15 years old. Due to his considerable talent, he was accepted into Loughborough, considered the top sports University in the United Kingdom. He earned his Bachelor of Science in physical education, sports science, and recreation management and went on to receive a Post Graduate in Education. As a teacher for over a decade, he gained valuable expertise in education and sports performance, consulting in schools and colleges in the south of England whilst still chasing his dream to become an Olympian. Although his skill was undeniable, Mr. Walker faced an uphill battle in the form of serious injuries, the worst of which was a dislocated knee during the UK Athletics Final at Windsor which ended his sporting career at its peak.
In the ensuing years, Mr. Walker embarked on a new journey, discovering a passion for public speaking, broadcasting and publishing. This led to relocating his young family across the Atlantic to the Great Lakes region of America. His hard work paid off when he was invited to give a TEDx Talk, that then went on to become a best-selling book, "Awaken Your Alpha: 31 Actions to Step Up, Master Your Identity & Lead a Life with Impact". He has since been a featured speaker on several media outlets, including The Huffington Post and ESPN. Backed by his professional experiences, Mr. Walker excels as the founder of Amplify Your Mission, a thought leader and speaker consulting company that helps experts become the #1 authority in their niche. His TalkXcelerator Method specifically helps others book and prepare for their own TEDx talk.
Outside of his work, Mr. Walker contributes to his community as founder of the United Kingdom Youth Conditioning Association and serves as a coach for several middle and elementary school basketball teams.
