Before obtaining her current role with Wind Harvest, Dr. Ajala Inyang worked as a senior structural engineer in TechnipFMC, Aberdeen Scotland.
Over the years, Dr. Ajala Inyang has honed her skills in research and development, third party design verification, design certification, and more with TechnipFMC, Wood Group Kenny, and the University of Aberdeen. During the early stages of her career, she gained valuable expertise with Subsea 7, Global Oceon Engineers, and GI Engineering Consult working on such projects as the Total Exploration & Production (Usan Manifold Load-Out), CLOV J-lay installation, a Mobil satellite field development project (Jacket and Platform design), and several deep-water development projects. An expert in her field, she earned a higher national diploma in physics and electronics from Yaba College of Technology in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Lagos in 2010. Subsequently, Dr. Ajala Inyang expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Science in subsea engineering and a PhD in mechanical engineering through the University of Aberdeen, and certifications in project management professional, statistics for engineering researchers, subsea facilities, SCS installation, and more. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Ajala Inyang aligns herself with the Project Management Institute, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. Leveraging her vast knowledge base, Dr. Ajala Inyang authored the insightful publication, "Optimizing Hydroelectric Power Generation: The Case of Shiroro Dam," and she is recognized as one of the key inventors behind the "Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Blade-Arm Connection Member" patent (#11927174) granted by the US Patent and Trade Office. Given her professional and academic achievements, Dr. Ajala Inyang was named the Best Graduating Student in Civil Engineering by the University of Lagos, Best MSc Student project by the University of Aberdeen and the Most Outstanding Structural Engineer by the Global Oceon Engineers.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Ajala Inyang takes the most pride in the contributions she has made to her industry. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her humble beginnings.
