Awarded a Fulbright grant, he moved to the USA to undertake a Ph.D. in Statistics at the University of Pittsburgh, supporting himself as a teaching assistant and fellow due to the grant not covering living expenses.
Dr. Miah's educational background is equally impressive, with the pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Doctor of Education in leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
