Marquis Who's Who Honors Bob Gintoft for Expertise in Real Estate

    MILWAUKEE, WI, April 23, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bob Gintoft has been recognized for his professional excellence and contributions to the field of industrial real estate with his inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Gintoft currently serves as the vice president of industrial and corporate real estate at Ogden & Company, Inc., a role he has held since 2012. With over four decades of professional experience, he has built a distinguished career marked by dedication and expertise in real estate and economic matters. Adjacent to his current position, he was a licensed athletics official with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association from 2010 to 2020. Between 2016 and 2019, he also contributed his skills as an economic development coordinator for the City of Green Lake, Wisconsin. In 2011, he worked as a business and economic development consultant for Impact Seven, Inc.

Mr. Gintoft's career also includes serving as the senior vice president of industrial and corporate real estate at NAI MLG Commercial from 1996 to 2010. Earlier roles include serving as the vice president of special projects at James T. Barry Co., Inc. from 1987 to 1996 and as an industrial sales and leasing associate at the Robert A. Polacheck Company from 1983 to 1987. Mr. Gintoft began his career with impactful community development work as director of neighborhood reinvestment and later as executive director at North Side Redevelopment Project, Inc. of Racine from 1976 to 1982, including the development of the Flatiron Village Mall and coordinating 6 economic development forums among 30 of Racine's leaders who created the Racine County Economic Development Corp. and as the executive director of the Milwaukee East Organizations Congress, Inc. from 1974 to 1977 that created 2 of our nation's first community-based credit unions with legislative assistance from US Rep. Henry Reuss and US Senator Wm. Proxmire- both heads of their respective Banking Committees.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gintoft has been actively involved in industry-related organizations. He has been a member of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association and has played pivotal roles in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors' Wisconsin Chapter since its inception in 2003. Additionally, he was instrumental in the Wauwatosa Economic Development Corporation's plan to redevelop what is now known as the Mayfair Collection and awarded 11 forgivable loans to attract established eating & drinking businesses to older smaller commercial buildings and has significantly contributed to the redevelopment of the former American Motors Corp complex, the City of Milwaukee's most productive tax increment financing district in 2009.

Mr. Gintoft's academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements. He graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Science in Urban Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1974 and earned an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) designation from the National Development Council of New York in 2014 and he earned his esteemed Industrial Specialist designation as an active member of Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR) in 1992. His educational journey also includes certificates from Dale Carnegie Courses in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with pre-law emphasis, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The drive that propels his success stems from his formative experiences and the support he received from his community after his dad died when he was 10. These personal encounters have deeply influenced his approach to selling properties in inner-city areas and fueled his commitment to assisting those facing social, educational, and economic challenge.

Outside of his professional sphere, Mr. Gintoft is known for his extensive extracurricular involvement spanning several decades. His dedication to youth athletics coaching at St. Pius X Parish from 1983 to 2003 is particularly noteworthy, as is his longstanding membership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Association. His leadership extends into various roles, including as the head softball coach for Boy Scouts of America at Saint Catherine's Parish from 1979 to 1987 and board member for Marquette University High School Father Club Board from 1985 to 1993. His commitment to community service is further exemplified by his tenure as a Bingo caller for multiple institutions between 1977 and 1997 and his role as a founding officer of the Damon Woods Neighborhood Association. Mr. Gintoft's exceptional leadership has also been recognized through numerous awards, such as the Exceptional Leadership and Dedication Award and the Sparkplug Award from the board of directors of the Riverworks Development Corporation and the Riverworks Business Improvement District in 2018.

Mr. Gintoft cherished time spent coaching his 5 children's athletic teams, attending his 9 grand children's athletic & musical events, enjoying performances by the Milwaukee Symphony with his wife, seeing most of the Academy Awards nominated movies, and taking vacations together as a family.
