Previously, Mrs. Riscavage served as the director of rehabilitation at the Troy Center for Rehab and Nursing from 2017 to 2019 and Capital Living and Rehabilitation Centres - The Springs Nursing and Rehab in 2017. Originally trained as an Occupational Therapist, she worked for nine years as an Occupational Therapist, fulfilling her desire to provide and improve care for the aging population. However, under the leadership of her former director of rehabilitation and mentor, Mrs. Riscavage made the transition to management as an alternative way to improve care.
Mrs. Riscavage's academic background laid the foundation for her successful career. She earned a Bachelor of Science in health and human studies from Utica University in 2007, followed by a Master of Science in occupational therapy from the same university in 2008. Her pursuit of excellence is further demonstrated by her numerous certificates, which include becoming a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2018, a Resident Assessment Coordinator Advanced Certificate from AAPACN, which she earned in 2023, a certificate in working with older adults from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, earned in 2020, and has held registration as an Occupational Therapist with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy since 2008.
Mrs. Riscavage's professional affiliations include membership with the New York State Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing. These memberships reflect her commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and contributing to the advancement of her field.
Mrs. Riscavage is dedicated to giving back to her community through volunteer work at a local farm and enjoys spending time with her family, going on camping trips and horseback riding.
