Mr. Vicuña currently serves as the Head of trust and estate services at Fremont Bank, a role he has held since 2022. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in elevating the bank's enterprise approach, risk management and client services in legacy planning and business succession planning. His notable proactive approach has significantly contributed to the bank's advancement, and Mr. Vicuña also thrives on coaching others to manage the various challenges related to estate administration and investment.

Before accepting his current appointment, Mr. Vicuña served as the managing director of trust and estate services and as a wealth management group executive with Fremont Bank from 2021 to 2022, and from 2020 to 2021, he excelled in the roles of senior director of trust and estate services and wealth management group executive and was named to the company's President's Club. Mr. Vicuña's journey with Fremont Bank began in 2018 when he was named the director of trust services for the wealth management group.

Before joining Fremont Bank, Mr. Vicuña held a series of distinct positions in other financial institutions. He prospered in the position of regional vice president of the west division for trust and estate services at City National Bank from 2017 to 2018, and from 2014 to 2017, he served as a senior lead fiduciary officer and vice president at Bank of the West, where he was named the top performer in new business for multiple years. He honed his executive skill set as the chief executive officer of Downtown Stockton Alliance from 2013 to 2014, and earlier roles included a tenure as a senior trust officer and vice president with Bay Commercial Bank from 2010 to 2013 and regional asset manager and vice president at Bank of the West from 2005 to 2010. Notably, Mr. Vicuña initiated his work in the industry as a trust officer of wealth management at the Bank of Stockton in 2004.

Exceptional academic training and achievement further shaped Mr. Vicuña's profile. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in law and society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, which he obtained in 2000, and he earned a Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School in 2003. To expand his knowledge base and further shape his presence in the field, he also completed coursework in nonprofit board development at the University of the Pacific and in executive financial management at Pacific Coast Banking School, Premier National Graduate School of Banking, in partnership with the Foster Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington, and Mr. Vicuña studied executive leadership at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Mr. Vicuña's professional achievements have been recognized in Hispanic Executive Magazine in 2022 and Silicon Review Magazine in 2021. He was also featured in Top 10 Magazine in 2020, and the Hispanic Chamber named him the Most Outstanding Business Leader in 2013. He also holds active memberships in several organizations including Latinos in Finance and serves as the chairman of the advisory board for JUMA Ventures. Mr. Vicuña is also a proud founding member of the Silicon Valley Blockchain Society and held a seat on the board of directors for Opening Doors Inc.

Mr. Vicuña attributes his success to unwavering discipline, perseverance and a strong work ethic and believes that his law school education equipped him with the necessary skills to manage challenges and identify effective solutions. Furthermore, Mr. Vicuña credits his father as an inspiring model, as he witnessed him evolve a nonprofit initiative into one of the nation's largest health fairs.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Vicuña is deeply involved with civic associations such as Summer Search and the advisory board of MainStreet Investment Advisors LLC. He is also the proud founder of Sus Finanzas Non-Profit Organization, and Mr. Vicuña's commitment to community service is reflected in numerous awards, including special recognition from the California State Assembly in 2016.

To achieve balance, Mr. Vicuña actively participates in snowboarding and coaching youth sports. Looking toward the future, he aims to persist in maintaining a steady growth pace at Fremont Bank and envisions expanding the bank's nonprofit arm to better serve the community through both financial contributions and volunteerism. Furthermore, Mr. Vicuña aspires to author a book on his experiences in the fiduciary sector.
