Over the years, she has contributed to her community by being a board member of the Huntsville Rotary Club, a board member of the Huntsville SAAFE house established for domestic violence and has helped with fundraisers for the following projects, The Wounded Warriors, Veterans & Patriots United, Aim Vet, and Operation Underground Railroad, Against Sex Trafficking Kids. Additionally, Ms. Coleman instituted a program in which she donates one percent of her commissions to veterans and first responders.

She cherishes the memory of her first sale in 1989 involving a family moving from California to Texas. She helped them find a home in Kingwood and arranged for them to be able to close early to celebrate Christmas in their new home. While the family was at closing, Ms. Coleman was hard at work creating a special prize for the family. When they arrived at their new home, they found a decorated tree with gifts under the tree for their special needs child. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her colleagues and her spouse's support.
