Initially studying English at the University of Southern Mississippi, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2003, Mrs. Bradford went on to attend Alcorn State University, where she received a Master of Science in Workforce Education Leadership with Advanced Technologies training in 2008. During this time, she accrued a dual degree from Mississippi State University, where she earned another Master of Science during the same year. Furthermore, Mrs. Bradford has enhanced her qualifications with a Specialization in Social and Emotional Learning via the University of Colorado in 2023.

Mrs. Bradford's engagement extends to organizations like the Indianapolis Urban League, the Indy Equity Collective, and the Association for Career and Technical Education. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. One of Mrs. Bradford's proudest achievements has been organizing the first field trip under "The You Can Initiative, Powered by B.
