Nicholas Lehn Celebrated for Dedication to the Fields of Behavioral and Data Science

Over the years, Mr. Lehn gained valuable expertise in data science and analytics with Accenture Federal Services supporting the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of State.

An accomplished, award-winning behavioral and data scientist with years of expertise in research, foreign policy, and data analysis, Mr. Lehn excels as a senior data scientist with Accenture Federal Services. By leveraging his social science and data science expertise, he leads a small team of analysts to identify clients' pain points, provide data-driven actionable insights, and build and deploy advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence models. Over the years, Mr. Lehn gained valuable expertise in data science and analytics with Accenture Federal Services supporting the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of State. He previously supported various U.S. government mission sets with Ntrepid, LLC, specializing in custom quantitative and qualitative research and analysis cybersecurity, foreign policy, and social media analytics as a behavioral science analyst. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Lehn gained valuable expertise in research and analysis with The Johns Hopkins University's School of Education, and Kenyon College.

An expert in his field, Mr. Lehn holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in anthropology from Kenyon College and a Master of Science in cognitive and evolutionary anthropology from the University of Oxford. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by completing many certifications and workshops through Accenture Federal Services and Coursera on deep learning and neural networks, geospatial data analysis, social network analysis, natural language processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Python. In conjunction with his work, Mr. Lehn contributes to his community by supporting Chronic Pain Anonymous and various non-profits for whom he provides pro-bono consulting services.

Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Mr. Lehn has authored several publications and one book chapter, including "An Identity Project: A Case Study of Two Inservice Elementary STEM Teachers' Experiences with a Comprehensive Professional Development" (2024, in press), "Teacher Transformation in Urban Elementary Classrooms Engaged in a Transdisciplinary STEM Initiative" (2020) and "Urban Elementary Students' Conceptions of Engineering After Receiving an Integrated STEM Curriculum" (2016). Similarly, Mr. Lehn wrote his theses for Oxford University and Kenyon College on "The Effects of Synchronization While Singing on Cooperation and Social Bonding" and "Identity Construction and Institutional Marketing in University Admissions," respectively.

In light of his professional accomplishments, Mr. Lehn received a Certificate of Appreciation for his vital research efforts that drove department and interagency messaging and advanced U.S. policy objectives from the U.S. State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Public Affairs. He also won the Project Abstract Award from Hanover Research, received the George Herbert Mead Departmental Sociology Award from Kenyon College, and was inducted into Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Lehn takes pride in conducting research that has a positive impact on society and furthers scientific understanding.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Lehn credits his success to the people who have supported and mentored him throughout his journey and his education through the University of Oxford, Kenyon College, and The Friends School of Baltimore, where he went to high school.
