Ms. Verdone is co-owner and FEO of an antique car parts venture that has been in business for 38 years. Working in the lost wax thin shell ceramic metal casting process, the company reproduces small parts for antique pre-WW2 cars in stainless steel by custom order. The company is unique because it charges no up-front monies, no so called "engineering fees" or "set-up fees," and requires no minimum quantity order. Her daily responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction by timely notification of project progress, billing, advertising, overseeing company finances, filing paperwork, checking e-mails, working with old cars, creating waxes, building automotive parts, managing loss wax process, polishing, shipping, and coordinating car shows for Pre-War and Hershey. Additionally, she assists in the hands-on part of the manufacturing process of the creation of the wax reproductions of the desired car parts.
With numerous articles published in Skinned Knuckles, a famous car enthusiast magazine, Ms. Verdone is a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Franklin Club. In five years, Ms. Verdone hopes to continue the same work by doing more shows. Ms. Verdone attributes her success to her creativity and ability to ensure customers satisfaction. She became involved in her profession because of her passion towards painting and drawing.
