Having begun her career in 2006 when she joined The Ohmega Group LLC, Dr. Kore worked as an electrical designer. She then served as an electrical engineer at RS&H from 2007 to 2015. Her expertise continued to grow at AECOM, where she held the positions of senior electrical engineer and senior systems designer between 2015 and 2019.
In addition to her professional roles, Dr. Kore served as an airman first class in the U.S. Air Force for two years, during which time she gained expertise in electronics. This military experience significantly influenced her career trajectory in electrical engineering.
Dr. Kore's academic achievements have also significantly contributed to her professional success. In 1980, she earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Heidelberg College. By 2003, she had received a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering from the University of Florida. While pursuing her advanced degrees, Dr. Kore gained expertise as a graduate assistant from 1995 to 2003.
Adding to her professional involvement, Dr. Kore has been engaged in industry-related organizations as a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. As a dedicated community member, she also regularly donates to Colorado Public Radio.
