SPOTSWOOD, NJ, January 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Alan J. Goldsmith has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A distinguished figure in the field of administration, Dr. Goldsmith is renowned for his dedication to humanitarian efforts and community health initiatives. As the president and founder of the Jewish Renaissance Foundation, the Jewish Renaissance Community Health Center and NGO United Nations in New York, he collaborates with Chief Executive Officers and community directors to manage fundraising events and engage with politicians. His leadership with the foundation and health center has been instrumental in establishing a Community Action Agency that provides social services programs addressing the social determinants of health. These programs provide anti-poverty initiatives across eight municipalities serving more than 6,000 residents in Middlesex County. These programs include and address education, training and testing, food insecurity, emergency assistance, housing needs, and more.
Dr. Goldsmith established the JRF Community Health Center in 2015 and continues to serve as its President. His commitment to health care extends beyond local boundaries, as evidenced by his participation in numerous international medical missions. Prior to these roles, he started in the Peace Corps as a volunteer as well as employed as a teacher in 1970. Currently, Dr. Goldsmith serves as an Assistant Professor with Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
Dr. Goldsmith's academic journey laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Rutgers University in 1979, a master's degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1973 and a bachelor's degree from Tarkio College in Missouri in 1970. He attributes his success to divine guidance and the unwavering support of his wife, both of which have enabled him to develop medical centers that provide essential services to those in need.
Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Dr. Goldsmith has served as president of the Shaarey Tefiloh Synagogue in Perth Amboy and engaged with Reborn Outreach in Kenya and Uganda. His dedication to service is further exemplified by his receipt of prestigious awards such as the Jefferson Award (listed on Who's Who in America) for his work with the Jewish Renaissance Foundation and Health Center, the NAACP Award, the YMCA Award, a plaque from the Dominican Republic and the Hadassah Award.
A prolific author, Dr. Goldsmith's literary contributions include authoring "The Five-Cent Miracle" in 2012 to discuss the remarkable story of how the Jewish Renaissance Family of Organizations (JRFO) was formed. He takes great pride in dedicating his life and profession to helping others and likens an act of charity to lighting a candle that can quickly ignite many more.
In his personal life, Dr. Goldsmith enjoys playing golf and landscaping. Despite having achieved many of his professional goals, he remains committed to continuing his work for as long as possible, whether it is hands-on or in an advisory capacity. He plans to expand his efforts by introducing a mobile van to serve communities and aims to establish an urgent care center with birthing services in Kenya. Through his work, he continues to make a significant impact on countless lives both domestically and internationally.
