From a young age, John Riddle demonstrated a deep-rooted passion for the home appliance industry. After his father returned from WWII in 1946, Mr. Riddle, the youngest of seven children, began working at the family appliance and television business. This early exposure ignited a spark that would drive his career for decades. With considerable industry knowledge and experience, he transferred his skill set to Maytag, where he worked as a vice president and general manager between 1979 and 2001. Over the years, he honed his expertise through executive positions with Philips Electronics, Fleetwood Homes, Inc., Electrolux Home Products, OwnerIQ, Hisense USA, and LG Electronics, where he led successful teams during a time of unprecedented growth as the senior vice president of home appliances and air solutions. Similarly, Mr. Riddle has established symbiotic relationships with nearly every major big-box retailer in the United States.

In recent years, Mr. Riddle has lent his expertise to the boards of several industry organizations, including the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, Unity, Appliance Factory and Mattress Kingdom, and Howard's, which he transformed from underperforming to considerable growth through a new leadership team and established partnerships with luxury manufacturing partners. Backed by his considerable expertise, he excels as the head of the NATM group for the National Alliance of Trade Merchants, which is made of some of the largest retailers in consumer durables, and as the president and chief executive officer of the eponymous John Riddle Consulting Group. Mr. Riddle has managed relationships with domestic and international companies through the latter, overseen data information systems to keep members informed regarding marketplace developments, and maintained a large annual trade conference.

An expert in his field, Mr. Riddle earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the York College of Pennsylvania in 1978. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge, completing a certification in marketing studies from the University of Pittsburgh, a certification in finance executive education through The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business, a certification in leadership training and development from the Center for Leadership, and various certificates through LG and Hult Ashridge. Outside his work, Mr. Riddle has dedicated himself to his community through various organizations and veterans' shelters.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Riddle takes the most pride in his upbringing in the family business, which created the foundation for his entire career. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his parents, who instilled in him the importance of customer care and industry dynamics through the family business. Looking ahead, Mr. Riddle intends to support smaller, independent appliance, television, and furniture dealers.
