Hailing from more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Ulmenstine is a seasoned professional in the construction industry, including dispute resolution, claims, owner's representation, and surety. As the senior director of business development for advisory services at J.S. Held since 2018, he has been instrumental in overseeing the growth of the company's construction advisory division across North America. His role involves cooperating with construction attorneys throughout the United States and Canada, participating in trade shows and managing J.S. Held's construction advisory, owner's representation, and surety practices. Additionally, he refers clients to particular experts in forensic engineering, environmental health and safety and forensic accounting.

Before joining J.S. Held, Mr. Ulmenstine served as the director of business development at Construction Process Solutions Ltd., now part of J.S. Held, from 2002 to 2018. During his tenure, he was responsible for developing the firm's marketing and development department, incorporating quantitative tactics within client relationship management, professional association development and social media.

Mr. Ulmenstine began his career as an assistant project manager at Sylvania Lighting Services from 1997 to 1999, followed by a role as a marketing coordinator at Procter and Gamble from 1999 to 2001. His diverse background has equipped him with the ability to view issues from multiple perspectives and find compromises that benefit all parties involved. His analytical skills complement his professional talents, making him a focused leader who seeks true value in aligning partners with each project's specific mission. In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Ulmenstine has been actively involved in multiple industry-related organizations. He is a past president of the Greater Cincinnati chapter of the Society of Marketing Professionals and an associate member of various committees within the American Bar Association. His contributions as a speaker at local and regional conferences further highlight his commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise within his field. Before venturing onto his vocational path, he successfully earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from Xavier University.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Ulmenstine is dedicated to civic engagement and community service. He has served on the board for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Clermont County (now Greater Cincinnati), an organization that works to help young individuals, particularly in underserved communities, reach their full potential.
