Mr. Milton is an acquisition analyst at Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC) Government Services in Virginia, an Alaska Native Corporation specializing in engineering, maintenance, information technology, and other support services to defense and civilian government agencies. In his role, Mr. Milton focuses on requirements management, providing documentation of requirements specific to where the money being given to them by U.S. Congress is being spent.
Prior to joining UIC, Mr. Milton enjoyed a tenured career with various other companies, including as a senior program analyst at Reliability and Performance Technologies in 2022. He also worked for Client Solutions Architects from 2015 to 2022, beginning as a U.S. Navy maritime maintenance enterprise system consultant and then as a senior consultant in several capacities. Just before resigning from the organization, Mr. Milton was a deployment site cutover lead. Among other roles, he worked as a nuclear project engineer at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1989 to 2002. During his tenure at the shipyard, he was instrumental in proposing and implementing an alteration for a new reactor, which involved installing a more efficient radiation shielding system, using lead along the bulkhead within the reactor compartment to ensure the safety of personnel.
Besides his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Milton has spoken professionally at numerous conferences. He has also been invested in giving back to his community, having served as a regional director for the nonprofit organization Destination Imagination from 1992 to 2005. Most honorably, Mr. Milton served his country as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy from 1974 to 1989. Today, he remains active by supporting numerous missionaries in the U.S. and abroad.
After earning his high school diploma from Lewis and Clark High School in 1974, Mr. Milton received a Bachelor of Science in marine engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, followed by an engineering degree in nuclear engineering through the U.S. Navy in 1982 and a Master of Business Administration in acquisitions from Strayer University in 2013. Mr. Milton also received certification as a project management professional through the Project Management Institute Inc. in 2019, where he is an active member. His success has notably earned him several monetary awards from the U.S. Government.
