In this capacity, Mr. Cheripko oversees the modernization of navy ships' command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence communication equipment, known as C4I equipment. He manages five projects and leads multiple teams to ensure the seamless integration of advanced communication systems.
Before his tenure at ANSOL Inc., Mr. Cheripko served as West Coast operations vice president and senior financial program analyst at GEBC from 1996 to 1998. His role involved strategic oversight and financial analysis, contributing significantly to the company's operational success. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Cheripko was a senior program analyst at Advanced Communications Systems, where he honed his expertise in program management and communications technology. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cheripko worked as a program analyst at Vredenburg, beginning in 1987, where he developed foundational skills that would later define his professional journey.
In addition to his primary roles, Mr. Cheripko has contributed to academia as a member of the visiting committee at the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. His expertise in modernization planning and installation processes has earned him recognition as a leading figure in his field.
Mr. Cheripko's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on corporate finance from West Virginia University in 1985. This educational foundation has been instrumental in his ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and develop innovative solutions for the U.S. Navy's operational needs.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Cheripko is actively involved in civic organizations, such as the Knights of Columbus, and generously contributes to the California Wolf Center. He also established the Robert and Gaye Cheripko Scholarship in honor of his parents, which aims to support nontraditional students working and seeking to further their education or pursue education later in life. In the future, Mr. Cheripko plans to establish a charity for his late mother, who dedicated her life to helping others as a social worker and director of social services at nursing homes.
