Dr. Love is a distinguished clinical health psychologist specializing in chronic pain conditions. He has dedicated his career to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives despite experiencing pain. Dr. Love's efforts have rehabilitated many who were previously debilitated by pain, enabling them to return to active duty and pursue their passions.

Dr. Love has been a clinical health psychologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since January 2020. In this role, he treats military personnel, dependents, and retirees with chronic pain conditions through individual sessions and group therapy. He also serves as the health psychology rotation supervisor for the APA accredited Navy Psychology internship at the hospital and works in an interdisciplinary matter with rheumatologist and the pain physicians. Additionally, he has developed new training programs to improve communication between patient and providers, as well as improving overall patient outcomes in the rheumatology department. He conducts individual sessions for pain patients reporting symptoms of depression and anxiety.

In 2021, Dr. Love founded Love Psychological & Consulting Services, where he serves as a licensed clinical psychologist where he focuses on individual, couples therapy and psychological assessments. He previously served as a clinical psychologist at various organizations and medical facilities, including Thriveworks Administrative Services, Psychology Specialists and Naval Medical Center of Portsmouth, and as a psychology intern at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints in Racine, WI. Before entering the field of psychology, Dr. Love worked as a non-invasive cardio technician from 2005 to 2010, film librarian and a certified nursing assistant from 2001-2005 at Banner Health.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Love has contributed to the field through publications like his article "Managing Holiday Stress," published in 2011. His dedication to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of health psychology is evident in both his clinical work and scholarly contributions. His professional memberships include the American Psychological Association, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, where he is recognized as a certified clinical hypnosis provider and holds a certification in Pain Management from American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. He is also a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider.

After earning a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University-Glendale Campus in 2007, Dr. Love went on to graduate with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2011. He also holds a Master of Science in Psychopharmacology from New Mexico State University. Currently, he is pursuing a master's degree in Medical Cannabis Sciences and Therapeutic at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Throughout his career, Dr. Love has received several commendations, including letters of commendation from the United States Military in 2022 and from the US Navy for his work with the Pain ECHO program. He is also a recipient of the Service Award from Midwestern University. Dr. Love attributes his success to the invaluable support of his mentors during his internship (Drs. Debbie Cohen-Smith and Susan Steinbruck), graduate school professors, and post-doc supervisor Dr. Leroy Hall, as well as the unwavering guidance of his mother, Regina Love. A supervisor specializing in pain psychology, Dr. Shamin Ladhani, particularly inspired him during his internship in behavioral medicine, which exclusively dealt with health patients and played a fundamental role in shaping his career aspirations.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Love enjoys reading and traveling. Over the next several years, he is determined to achieve board certification in clinical health psychology and study to obtain prescription authority for psychologists.
