Mr. Barnum is the founder and president of Barch Industries, a company that offers industrial contracting, primarily industrial coatings and painting. As the leader of the company, he is responsible for the majority of estimating, business development, scheduling and preparing projects. Since establishing Barch Industries in 2019, Mr. Barnum's leadership has been instrumental to the success of the business, particularly in navigating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which began shortly after he relocated to his shop in January 2020. Despite these obstacles, he secured his first service agreement with the plant where he had previously been employed.

Prior to founding Barch Industries, Mr. Barnum served as an electrical maintenance planner at PacificCorp from 2017 to 2019. In that role, he honed his skills in project management and maintenance planning, which later proved invaluable in his entrepreneurial endeavors. Before that, he was a project engineer at William H. Smith and Associates Inc. from 2016 to 2017, where he gained significant experience in engineering and construction management.

In tandem with his career, Mr. Barnum is an active participant and member of the Association for Materials, Protection and Performance, which showcases his commitment to industry standards and continuous improvement. Educationally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Colorado Mesa University in 2015, which he subsequently applied throughout his career. In reflecting on his journey, Mr. Barnum attributes much of his success to the solid business foundation he gained while growing up, which was influenced by his father who is an attorney. Such an early exposure to business principles ultimately shaped his approach to leadership and management.
