OAKLAND, CA, January 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Geoffrey Winder has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Winder is an experienced transformation expert and change theorist with over 20 years of relevant expertise. Since 2023, he has served as the senior strategist and principal at Collective Struggle, a nonprofit organization based in Oakland, California, where he specializes in working on transformation and change strategies for social justice organizations and movements, providing emergency management and interim executive services with existing or in transition to shared leadership models. As such, Mr. Winder supports executive leaders, directors and co-directors in establishing strong team foundations.

Through Collective Struggle, Mr. Winder has served as a contributor and senior advisor on behalf of the California Black Leadership Project since 2023, senior advisor and executive mentor for the Alliance for Educational Justice since 2024, strategic advisor and executive mentor for Californians for a Justice since 2024 and as the interim co-director for the Dignity in Schools Campaign since 2024. His expertise in inspiring leadership, strategic vision, culture change, strategic partnerships, coaching, and mentoring has empowered leaders and provided the tools for effective leadership across various organizational settings.

Before launching his nonprofit, Mr. Winder spent over a decade with the Genders and Sexualities Alliances (GSA) Network, a next-generation LGBTQ racial and gender justice organization in Oakland, California. He served as an administrative manager from 2008 to 2011, then became the racial and economic justice manager in 2011. In 2012, he was promoted to senior manager of racial and economic justice programs before being named the co-executive director between 2015 and 2022. Earlier in his career, Mr. Winder held various roles with Zipcar from 2004 to 2008, working his way up to administrative and accounts payable manager. He also garnered experience as the anti-racism initiative coordinator at Gay-Straight Alliance Network in 2001.

Mr. Winder holds a Bachelor of Arts in change theory and globalization from New York University Gallatin in New York City in 2007. He also holds an Alliance for Boys and Men of Color certification. His education has shaped his approach to leadership and social justice initiatives.

In addition to his credentials, Mr. Winder has been active civically, serving on the steering committee for the People's Think Tank for Education Justice since 2019 and on the board of directors for Californians for Justice since 2021.

Throughout his career, Mr. Winder has received several accolades, including an Arcus Foundation Leadership Fellowship and a Service Award from GSA Network. He attributes his success to his strong ability to connect with others, empathize with their experiences and adapt to changing circumstances.
Mr. Winder is focused on developing a new social theory that examines the impact of technology as a force for privilege or oppression. Drawing on his background in social theory, he aims to contribute to intellectual discourse or take on a leadership role within a relevant movement after his recovery phase. Mr. Winder's commitment to addressing critical societal issues continues to drive him forward.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Mr. Winder spent his early years in an orphanage before moving to California, where he faced unique challenges as a person of Korean and African American heritage. Additionally, his formative experiences as an openly LGBT individual in the 1990s profoundly shaped his career path, fostering his self-esteem, leadership abilities and confidence to promote positive change within diverse communities.
